Investing in the next generation of aviators
EAA Chapter 309 is committed to supporting young people in the Charlotte area who are pursuing their passion for aviation. For several years, the chapter has proudly sponsored two Ray Aviation Scholars annually through the EAA Ray Aviation Scholarship Foundation, providing funding to help aspiring pilots earn their private pilot certificate.
In addition to the Ray Aviation Scholarship, the chapter may offer additional private scholarship opportunities from time to time. These supplemental awards are funded through chapter resources and member donations, and are announced to eligible candidates as they become available.
For questions about the Chapter 309 scholarship program, contact the scholarship committee at scholarships@eaa309.club or reach out to the chapter at contact@eaa309.club.
The Ray Aviation Scholarship, funded by the Ray Foundation, provides up to $11,000 to help young people between the ages of 16 and 19 earn their private pilot certificate. EAA chapters select and mentor scholars throughout their flight training journey.
